As per some of the bickering, I checked out track insurance... Can someone point me in the right direction? I haven't been able to find much of anything.

Thanks.

Not sure if he is licensed in "Somestate", but try Brandon Parrish, a former WERA racer/insurance agent that started specializing in racer/extreme sport insurance policies. Rider Package Quote | RiderSurance

I spoke to him about 5 years ago when I needed to get "responsible" since I've got kids and my wife doesn't work. He couldn't get me the amount of coverage ($1,000,000) I needed for less than a mortgage payment a month so I quit racing.

Let me know how it works out for you because I never lost the itch and Formula 40 sounds fun, more "mature" guys that know they need to work on Monday but still want the competitive rush.

Thanks man, it covers bikes as well as personal injury? My health insurance is already good, just looking for big coverage on track days.

Haha! I thought you meant health, disability, life! Didn't know you meant the really important stuff.

No idea who covers hardware for racing purposes, all the biggies have specific exclusions as you may well know. Good luck and also report back, but the risk is so great it would be difficult to imagine how any business could work insuring bikes and not have ridiculous premiums.

Seriously, make sure you understand your health insurance clearly regarding competitive sporting events, specifically racing motorcycles.

IIRC you're in the military, and just might want to double check with command on that as well.

Don't get me started on how the military handles riders, much less racers/track day people. My old battalion commander tried to find a reg to stop me, but couldn't because it was legal and I wore all safety gear.

I don't crash every time I go, so that's an easy $500 in the bag for them. My health insurance? Who knows, would it stop me? No...
