There's a few other odds and ends, carbon fender/mud flap, woodcraft engine cover etc, I'm bored, it's icy and crappy out so here's my look at me post :D

Nice additions! I run a Penske shock also. I can't wait for this season, last season got cut short due to a bad crash that separated both of my shoulders. I've invested in the new Dair suit to hopefully prevent similar injury. I hope we have an early spring!

So tell me about the Penske. I've used them before on an Aprilia Challenge Cup bike (4-way adj),

Which one are you using? Model #?

I hear ya! So when you looking to head out? Looking to hop on one of the early April trackdays at PIR, before the ridge starts its season..

It's a 8987, imo just as good as the Ohlins and MUCH easier to work on yourself. And I wanted something different then Ohlins

Nice work!
Always wondered how you guys get around insurance? Or do you just risk it?
I ride a old 06 600RR for track days because they wont cover my new bike.

Some insurance companies cover untimed track days. Maybe not in certain parts of the country with the available insurance companies but they do exist. I've got it with AAA.

I'm riding a salvage bike, My friend dumped it in the grass going slow. Picked it up for 5500 with 3200 miles and sold my uncrashed 1199 before I wadded it.

I think mine is an 8760. I got it new from a B bike for around 700 on eBay.

Love the look of that Penske shock! The red/black colorway really brings the bike together.

What's the big difference in a stock triple clamp vs. aftermarket like the one you chose? And who did the suspension work for you? I've wanted to do very similar modifications to my 1299...

No difference that I can tell with the triple, "maybe" lighter and stronger but that's a big ?. KFG racing did all the suspension work

I'd be interested to hear your take on before/after handling characteristics with the new cartridge kit and rear shock vs stock. [Read: Worth it?]

Do you have a base model? I cant speak for a S but I put Bitubo on my 899 and noticed a huge difference after 5 min of riding.

My bike handled like a wet noodle before my ohlins 30mm cartridges and Penske rear shock. I actually hated my bike before the suspension change. Now I love it!

Take the oem pos shock off asap and replace it. Ohlins, Bitubo or Penske.. It is a night and day difference..

I 2nd this advice! You can't go wrong with any of the brands, they are all major upgrades and worth every penny!

Suspension is the first thing I do to any of my bikes.. I likey when the 200hp motorbike goes where I point it, gets expensive otherwise lol

Hi Geek - that rear shock looks the dogs bollocks! Nice one! Quick question is your screen standard? - looks bigger if so who makes it?
