upgraded my rear carrier with CNC pieces from motovation accessories.

just sharing and FYI on the weight of the stock rear axle nuts and carriers.

stock stuff

new carrier, axle nut and bolts.

rear nut difference

result!

did it mainly because i thought it would look good and I still have this disease where I have to do stuff to my new bike lol.

in the end saved about 216 grams or 0.47 lbs.

But you leave the 525 chain and steel sprocket ;). Looks nice if that's what your after .

Get a nice anodized silver aluminum sprocket to
Lighten it and give it more bling. Nice!

It all started with the me wanting a lil more midrange grunt. So i thought it would be more economical (lol w this bike) to go with a 14t sorocket. Great mod btw!!

Yea, i was gonna do the 520 chain and srocket too but thought it was a waste of a perfectly good chain with just a couple hundred miles on it. When the time comes for a new chain i'll probably go 520 chain, quick change sprocket carrier, 41 tooth sprocket, ti cush, and take out the 14 tooth in the front and go back to 15. Just thought i would share the weight difference and how it looks.

How durable are the Al nuts. I haven't gotten mine replaced because I am a little leary of getting a softer material. Ti is just too damn expensive.

I understand Trans. Even w a little hook up they still are pricey but I've convinced myself they are worth it in the LONG run since the tiny little aluminum bolts DP uses are worthless everywhere man! I also found out the hard way that screwing alum into alum is not a good mix and you're bound to strip something very easy, leaving you w a broken bolt or non removable due to stripped head. Therefore I sucked it up and went w the Proti gear as its much easier to thread and doesn't strip as easy.

Hardware (nuts/bolts) is last on my list. Least of the performance gains/functional items. I also want the CD Ti cush drives. THe polyurethane will last longer.
