Rear Light for CF Shiftech Subframe

While prepping my bike for some track days in Spain next week, I wanted to make a test run on public roads. So I needed a rear light.

I decided to install a KOSO nano LED light between the CF subframe and the Akrapovic exhaust heat shield, replacing the existing distance studs. This prototype is actually working flawless, but needs some visual design improvements before anodisation. Light can be removed without disasembling the heat shield.

Total weight is 52g.

The KOSO has both rear and brake lights.

That's a cool idea. I wonder if the placement would meet the requirements for a rain light on a race bike.

I guess no (but I never read the rules for specific classes). The rain light has to be mounted asymmetrically to the bike's centerline. Otherwise water from the rear tire will obstruct its visibilty.

The intensity of the light will be sufficient for sure: it is freaking bright.

I've been in Almeria yet two times. This time it's going to be very cool: 2 days on the old track (home track of Tito Rabat). Then 2 days on the newly built track some meters away

Aaaaaaaand it's 20 degrees celsius warmer than in Switzerland. Aaaaand they serve Aliolo: reason enough to go there!

Hehe.. Well,in not that fast myself but i would be nice to pass you i must admit.
How cool isnt it to build a track for 1 person to train rain riding? Spain is the place to be.
Well,enjoy your drinks at the cafeteria looking at the track,im not jelous at all...
Aragon is where i've seen the most exclusive Panigale's and yours would fit in like a glove.

Very cool Gecko. Now all you need to do is find a couple of bolts to replace with Ti that add up to 52g and you will be weight neutral again with that mod. Looks like a nice new tyre ready for track. Remember to remove your clear Tygon rear brake line if you go on the dyno. I learned the hard way a couple of years ago after a long dyno session with Tuneboy and we melted the clear tygon. No problem when riding as there is ample airflow.

Took my race Pani bike apart, did some stuff and found the time to do more anodizing.
Also I made some experiments anodizing forged OEM aluminium parts. Results are quite promising. I'll try to find ways to improve it even more.
