I'm looking into swapping the rear shock on my 1299 base, and I got 3 choices.
Ohlins TTX, Penske or Bitubo XXF61 or XXF31.

Anyone got any experiences on why or why not on any of them?

Use is mostly road, but the occational trackday..

I only have experience with Ohlins so that's what I would recommend. What's your weight?

Have used both Ohlins and Penske on street and race bikes. Both are good. My preference would tend to be a Penske with their 4-way adjustable.

I'd assume they're all great options. If you're in need of data/support, Ohlins for sure since that's readily available n used by the pros so there's tons of setup data available.

I picked up the Bitubo shock and cartridge kit and couldn't be happier. I have had Ohlins on almost all of my old bikes and that's what I was planning to upgrade to but I got a hell of a deal on the Bitubo suspension and I couldn't pass it up. I think it all boils down to personal preference and knowledge of set-up. In my opinion, all three are great choices. Good luck man!

I really looked at Mupo as being the only shock besides Ohlins for me. In the end I chose Ohlins for the plethora of data already available and service availability. I'll post pics when i get the shock. Or message Jarel at D.O. and he should have pics of my shock as he built it.

Penske from Mike Faillace at MetricDevilMoto. Singlebest improvement to my racebike. Shock engineer at Penske owns Pani too ;)

Do you know the specs on the oem spring? I think it suits me pretty good, sags are spot on..

The base model spring is 90Nm which equals 210lbs or 95kg. You can adjust the Sachs unit, however that wasn't your initial question and it would be optimal to change the rear spring weight when you order a new unit.
