Hi there,

First post here...just picked up my 1199R 5 days ago and loving it!

Now...I searched high and low for days but could not find an answer, so I'm hoping I could get some assistance here.

I'm looking at various different adjustable rearsets. Originally wanted the Lightech ones but dealer told me they fit the base and S only, but not the R. Does anyone know anything about this?

any R owners with aftermarket rearsets? Which brand/model do you have? No alterations needed with install?

Thank you for any help.

Thanks for the reply. Could it be due to the largr diameter Termi pipes?

Seeing Austin Racing's peg positions, it seems it may be a little too aggressive for me... would like to see if maybe the dealer was incorrect or just the Lightech is constucted differently.

I have the Ducati corse rearsets look and feel amazing if I had another choice I would get the light tech your dealer is misinformed.

I thought so....but the service manager said they tried to fit it on another customer's 1199R but it was hitting something. Couldn't remember what he said. I will claify with him tomorrow morning but just wanted to check. I'm liking the rizoma RRC rearsets but just want to make sure they fit before I buy.

Its because the R has the swingarm adjustments, which leaves a bolt head sticking out. That bolt keeps some rear sets from fitting. I have Rizomas and they fit just fine on my R.

Bingo! Thank you EvoL. I forgot what it was that was hitting...but recalled as soon as you said it.

I'm so glad to hear the Rizomas fitting well. How is the positioning in relation to oem?

Thanks again.

I have asked the dealer to fit the DP rearsets as well on my R which I am picking up tomorrow.. have gone with pretty much all the DP accessories possible up front.. My dealer is still waiting on

1. DP front sprocket carbon cover
2. DP comfort rider seat
3. DP comfort passenger seat
4. 1199 Panigale bike cover (it looks really nice)

I would need to pay them a visit again to get those fitted but I will not be charged for labor again cos I requested them up front.

Good choice one of my only upgrades that make me feel good every time I look at them

I blinged up my R in terms of accessories but after all that, I hear that a Pani RR is coming in 2014 kinda makes me mad now.. I thought it was just a rumor but people are insisting that there is indeed one on the cards

I doubt it..... And if so it will cost 80-90 grand. And if your willing to spend that for a bike without a r8 or gtr in the garage Lol then you should be madddd... I got my bike 1.5 months ago a 2013 and I wouldn't undo it for a 2014 R. Every day is bliss knowing its mine

Yeah.. I mean who would even get that.. I am lucky to get a 2014 R at the 2013 price with hazard lights and all the earlier issues hopefully addressed.

Will ask my dealer again and see what he says just out of curiosity..

Had the Rizomas. Worked ok on the street but they did not last at the track. The rear brake lever broke.

Changed to woodcraft and they are much more robust and spares are cheaper.

I do mostly canyon riding..... so should hold up ok. Thanks for all the feedback! I've ordered the Rizomas. :)

Currently ordered:

- Marchesini Forged Magnesium gold wheels
- DID Gold chain
- CRG carbon levers
- DP fender eliminator
- DP comfort seat
- Magical Racing smoked windscreen
- Rizoma frame sliders
- Rizoma rearsets
- Techspec tank grips
- Driven D-Axis grips

That's it for the first week of ownership...

What's this thing about the Hazard Lights??? Are they mounting a big red glowing triangle button on the tank cap??

Just be careful with Magnesium wheels. Magnesium wheels have specialized corrosion problems and you would need to have it checked by an expert at least once a year.
