Rearsets

Congrats!

Just ordered Gilles units last night, have had nothing but good relations with Shift-Tech, plus I liked the fact that I can convert to GPshift with the OEM qickshifter.

While at it, I got the gas cap and tail tidy as well:rolleyes:

Nice! I decided to do the LSL race pegs instead of full rearsets. Throwing them on this weekend..

Ducabike !!

Long story on these which I posted a thread on, but must say after all the dust cleared these are awesome! :D

I am doin it myself. Doesn't look too bad but you never knpw untill you get into it. But by then your commited.

I just can't pay someone to install bolt on ..... I know that it will have to be tweaked and fine tuned. I do all the work on my Harley and KTM and believe me that if you think Italian engineers are finicky, you should try the Austrians.
I'm gonna try this weekend but it may have to wait till next weekend. Anyway I am going to document it for all to see.

Installed the rearsets yesterday.2.5 hours and straight forward. Only complaints are that the pics suck in the instructions which may have something to do with my tired eyes. 2nd is that the set were missing 4 screws that attach the brake and shifter pedals to the levers. I purchased at my local dealer and they got them from MW. So I decided to call MW to get the screws. MW was of no help at all. I know I didn't buy from them but my dealer did and I figured my dealer would of called them so I thought I could skip the middle man. MW kept playing stupid( in my mind ) b/c I couldn't get them to understand which screws I needed. They would not call me back. They emailed me to tell them the size of the screws but I don't have the screws to measure. So bad taste in my mouth from MW and I probably won't do further business with them. I did get some black screws from Lowes and they look great. So that's my rant. Rearsets are awesome. Look great and work great set up for normal shift. So if all you MW defenders want to tell me how great they are, we'll just agree to disagree.

That sucks when a company won't do the right thing and work with you and find the replacement parts you need. A few years ago I was putting Sato rearsets on my 1098 that were used and I was also missing hardware. The California reps of Sato were extremely helpful in getting me the screws that were missing. So much so, they emailed me a diagram and we went over it part by part over the phone.
When you spend as much on the items as we do, you'd think they'd be more helpful in order to get you to return as a customer or spread the word to buy their product.

But I'm glad to read that you got them installed after all the headache. Gonna show them off with pics???

My Lightechs came with a brake pressure switch that had the wrong threads, I got a replacement in a week, and they didn't even ask for the old one back!

ill never say the cost i paid but your inbox might get filled knowing who hooked me up

I did ok I think plus got an extra 10% credit toward my next purchase.
