haha na, a few reasons. Just wasnt into red as much and the white is pearl metalic and has heaps more depth than the red. Its rarer, they had a black pani there too but im sick of swirls on black after black cars and bikes in the past. Theres 2 red ones at work and people at work says there a tradition in red but the white shows the lines better and looks better. Took it back to Frasiers for a service and they were taking potential customers into the service area to show them. I know its not everyones cup of tea but thats how I felt about the red. Dont get me wrong, if it was only red available Id still get the bike, its not a bad colour but to spend that sort of cash on a bike I wanted to be happy with everything.

I completely agree with you mate, I'm actually a white fan, I have a white Panigale and previously had the 848 and 1198 both white, quoting what someone said once it is a "white canvas", you can get it to look unique.

Ive seen a white 1198 around the Fairfield area, wasnt you? Yea Its a great canvas however the grey/silver R sticker kit i thought would look great but then saw it on a white and was a bit hmmmm..... I dno if I'll do anything as its such a nice white too. Less is more for me.... for now. :p

Definitely not me, when I had the 1198 I was back in Melbourne, now that I'm in Sydney I have the Panigale.


This Sunday seems we are going to have a pretty good day, anyone up for a ride?

Been away with work and hoping to go somewhere on Sunday. Have some new mirrors to fit and test.
 
I'm up for it on Sunday, where do you suggest? I'm kind of new in Sydney so don't know many places apart of the Putty and Pacific Hwy rides.

What mirrors did you get? I just ordered the Rizoma Veloce, hopefully I can get them by the end of the week so I can test them on Sunday as well
 
lol anyone else found the mirrors vibrate too much and you cant see anything??

May be up for it on sunday, Ill keep an eye here.
 
It's soooooo freaking annoying, mine actually unscrew all the time with the vibration, for long rides I have to carry an allen key handy

lock tight?? My on button cluster is making its way loose lol...... back to frasiers....along with the melted fairing.

Great ride today. Breakfast at Kiama and coffee on the way back at the Robertson Pie Shop. Lots of bike riders there. Weather was great. I went out with a couple of HD riders. Still looking forward to getting some 1199 owners together.
 
Just put deposit on the R - dont get until Dec 1st week but might pop up and say hi on teh 17th as I am out there as well but on a 600 (a quick one) be intersted to hear your thoughts on the bike on the track - booked in for another on 17Dec wit the new bike :)

New Ducati owner as from the Dec - be great to catch up with some others in Sydney. You guys get together at all? (Membr of Hayabusa club and they do get togethers regular)

Hello Gents (all the sydney riders)

I started this thread way back and I have not been successful in organising any get togethers for a ride. I thought as we get to Christmas maybe time to organise a date and meeting place and then go for a spin for lunch somewhere.

I will put a date and meeting place up soon and we will see who turns up.
