Jarel, when lowering the front, you do mean dropping the clamps down the fork tubes?I set my rear shock to 306mm, which was 3mm shorter than it was, but didn't measure exactly how much it actually dropped the rear ride height. I also lowered the front 3mm, per the Ohlins specs, so probably a very similar setup to what JHP has. Going to try it out at the track this weekend.

Raising the forks so they stick up farther out the top triple clamp, aka. lowering the front of the bike.

Hi guys, following this thread with interest. I dropped my forks 3mm at the front about 6 months ago and it made the bike more stable, less 'drop' into the corners. Very pleased with it.
Since its been in the shop for a while I've been riding the HP4 and working on finding the sweet spot, focusing mainly on front and rear pre-load because the DDC takes care of damping pretty well when I'm moving. The feeling exists of almost perfect turn in, change of direction and straight line stability.
Anyway my point is that the preload setting are making small adjustments to ride height as well. I noticed when I got back on the Panigale yesterday that the turn in actually needed more physical input than the BNW so I'm going to start revisiting the pre-load, on the rear first and the the front.
I just wish it was easier to adjust, as its partially hidden by the slider I've installed on the left of the bike. Will have a look today but has anyone experimented with pre-load adjustment at the rear to alter the handling characteristics?

Can I please clarify. The rear shock eye to eye length is with the back fully extended?, static sag based or rider sag based ?
