guys my right signal is not working I know some of u guys had this problem. my problem is I have the Lux Machine block off plates and was wondering will Ducati still fix this under warranty?

Depends on the dealer, but I don't see why not. Its a known issue.

they almost certainly will, if not, here's a link to the thread with the link to the bulletin. WOrst case you can order the part (part number is in bulletion) it costs about $7. Takes about 15 minutes. Note, if it's not already happened it probably will. See if any other of the buttons work on that control, ie horn, turn sig, menu toggle etc. they eventually stop working too.

Was it working before and after you put on the Lux? If so, then you probably have the harness issue TSB 881. The dealer should take care of it. Worst case, you have to put the stock mirrors back on.

my lux didn't work after the dealer "installed them" during my 600 miles service. Got the bike home and the left one didn't work. I took it out and wiggled the connector and now works fine. It could be the quick connect or the wire is easily pinched if you aren't careful when you put them on. Unscrew the mounting bolts, check the connector and try it without screwing the bolts back on and see if it still does it.

I have the lux too. Just tell them about tsb 881. They fixed my issue with no cost to me. The problem is heat related, fix bein a new electrical harness. After market turn signals do not void the fix.

I should ask is it the lux that is not working or both the lux and the rear?

the lux is fine, it was working before any problems. I'm thinking it's been this hot weather in San Jose that caused it. hope my dealer takes care of it cuz I don't wanna out on the stocks again. and I'll remember to mention the tsb 881 code, thanks again

I have to add to this...

MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL DIDN'T WORK ON MY 12 1199S AT FIRST, AND AS TIME WENT ON THE PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE. NOW AFTER THE BIKE WARMED UP, I HAD A HARD TIME SELECTING THE DIFFERENT POWER MODES, "THEN" THE BRIGHTS WOULD EITHER NOT TURN ON OR GET STUCK ON AFTER BEING SELECTED...

I called up Ducati Milwaukee and they immediately got back to me about a "piggy-back" system Ducati developed for said problem (the TSB - technical service bulletin - literally read off almost verbatim what I was telling them) that helps eliminate this issue on some 1199's

I haven't had time to get the bike up there and drop her off but once I do I'll write again...

HOPE this helps

To answer the potential "why didn't you get it fixed earlier"...

I installed Rizoma turn signals and Ducati Motowerks in Chicago told me "can't help you since you have aftermarket turn signals"...

Hence why I'm using Ducati Milwaukee from now on from service.

I love the sales staff over there but unfortunately service has a more Italian mind set to warranty work than the guys "in" Italy - lol

:D
