Hello all, I have searched and googled with no luck. Any help is appreciated.

I have the Rizoma Rear hub axle slider for the Panigale and I have the Pitbull front and rear stands. The rear pin was swapped out to a 30mm pin to fit nicely into the Rizoma rear slider.
BUT I feel like the bike is unstable on the rear stand because of the added few inches from the slider. It almost looks off center when looking at it from the rear. Lets say if the pin was 5 inches in length which was supposed to go all the way into the axle. Now 2 inches are in the rizoma and the rest of the 3 inches are in the actual bike. Am I making sense?

Any input? or anyone have the same setup?

I just don't feel comfortable leaving the bike on it how I used to.

Thanks

I know what you are talking about and for that reason I sold my rear hub protector, it looks nice but not very practical

Im glad someone knows what I'm talking about. thanks. Yeah Ive been thinking about selling mine too. I had speedymotos front and rear sliders on my 848evo and they were really easy on/off..but the Rizoma is kind of a pain.

Thanks, any others?

I have the r&g ones. They work well with most 2 - sided stands with the little forks. (Have the harbor freight one that came with my last bike, works perfectly) .

For wheel changes I got the t-rex.

Thank you sir, I have seen most of the sliders for the Pani but I received front and rear rizoma free with my bike. And I'm trying to salvage what I have and not have to buy/sell things lol

I appreciate the suggestion!

Can you not just find a local engineering shop to turn you out a longer 30mm pin on a lathe? Should not be that difficult. I had one made up for my S4RS a few years ago from stainless bar, for about US$20.

I suppose I can. The last time I had a machine shop do something "not difficult" it cost me a lot of $ and 2 extra trips to get things sized correctly.

But thank you for the suggestion I didn't think of getting a longer pin. Ive read others making a 30mm pin to fit, didn't even cross my mind to have a longer one made. Just have to make sure its strong enough

Well good luck. If the machine shop is worth it's salt and remotely competent, this should be elementary stuff for them to churn out. It's just a piece of bar after all. You know the diameters required, you just need the length and a groove/s cut into it for the retaining circlip/s. Easy.

Problem is the rizoma unit is mostly bling so even with a customized pin it will scratch easily.

If you want to use a rear stand I suggest you sell it and move on, it's a shame as its a nice piece of kit

I have a a buddy trying to make one out of aluminum for me. Claims he will have it by this weekend. An OP on this forum turned the plastic piece down on a lathe and said it worked fine. My buddy says there is not enough "meat" on it.
