Rotobox RBX2 Carbon Fiber Wheels - BLACK FRIDAY SALE!!!!
Ok, so this is heresy coming from me who has been so vocal in my support of the RBX2 wheels as the superior option to BST. It makes sense in light of this bombshell: I'm turning to the dark side and getting a loaded 2015 S1000RR. Much more on that in another thread, but this one is about selling my most beloved mod on the 1199.
You can read my detailed review on the RBX2 carbon fiber wheel here: My new Rotobox RBX2 Carbon Fiber Wheels - Ducati 1299 Forum
Basic facts:
Weight (verified on the Cycle Pro digital scale against actual 1199 base, S and BST CF wheels, all with OEM rotors, spacers and bearings) - 8.5 pounds lighter than the base Enkei wheels, 4.2 pounds lighter than S/Tri/R wheels and 1 pound, 3 ounces lighter than BST 1199 wheels. Most importantly over aluminum wheels, the most weight is lost in the rim, so the polar moment of inertia - the force you work against when steering the bike - is reduced by over 1/3.
Roughened tire bead surfaces to prevent tire slip on front and rear wheels
Less than 3,000 miles on-road-only, in pothole-free central Florida. No damage, no stories. A couple of minor nicks in the black aluminum anodizing of the rear wheel center hub, purely cosmetic and difficult to see from 5 feet.
$3,500 new. BLACK FRIDAY SALE $2649 shipped within the 48 contiguous US states - save $850! Actual shipping to overseas locations. Not currently accepting offers as I will go to eBay before selling for less.
Bitubo ECH-29 Gas-Charged Fork Cartridges, XXF-61 Racing Shock, Gas-Charged Steering damper, Termignoni Slip-Ons + Upmap, TWM Folding Levers + Remote Adjuster, Rizoma RRC Rearsets, DP Reverse Shifter, and Motoprixcambi un-used/un-painted 1199 race bodywork coming soon when I have the chance to convert the bike back to stock.
