I ride quite a bit at night and I'm keen to hear what you guys who have received your bikes think ..

Thanks.

Awesome.
Thanks for that :)

I'm ready for some positive news.
All this talk about brake pad recall, heat, rear suspension, stalling, rock hard seats, etc etc etc has me ready for something reported as overwhelmingly positive.;)

Thanks again.

I HAVE A 2010 MERCEDES C-CLASS with HID's and I'd say they're on par if not better...

REALLY IMPRESSED and when the brights are on during the day it looks like you're riding a bike from Tron ;)

Excellent!

I did a HID upgrade on the 848 which is much better than stock.
But, it could still be better. Especially riding through the hills at night in low lit areas.

This is good news.

The thing I notice, besides the lights being very white and bright, is that there's a huge spread of light on dipped beam. So much that I keep thinking there's a car behind me because the road to either side of the bike is so well illuminated.

So could people with a base buy the LED light assembly and fit it without much trouble?

Ive done a bit of homework on this matter and contacted Ducati to ask. The lights are the same shape so essentially the S model LED headlight will fit the base model. Ive also asked how much the headlight unit is on its own to buy. Sit down first......

$1646.00 or £1041.00 in real money

Lights are best I've ever seen on a bike... I personally think dipped is better than full beam give such a white light that has awesome wide spread.

Don't worry about all the other niggles, generally you will hear more about them than the positives, that unfortunately is the nature of these forums.

However the actual switch to put full beam on is a bit flimsy! Ha

Led upgrade

I ordered 6 individual cree xml-t6 leds to make my own led headlights. Should be twice as bright. I have a base on the way so I will experiment with this. I also ordered 50w 5000k hid with ultra slim ballasts to compare lumen. They said my bike should be here by Friday :)

Vicious, have you got anywhere with your tail LED indicators you were working on or do you still need the bike? Are you thinking stand alone LED's or integrating indicator into brake lights? Txs.
