Ya I had to take off the whole front fairing to get in there to clean mine.. I was thinking the same thing haha

I removed my windshield...painted the inner portion of the windshield on the portion that covers that "black plastic hard to reach portion" of the back dash.
Now if it gets dirty...it doesnt show as the portion is now blocked out by the black painted portion of the windshield. Its just a remedy that works...
But is was a PITA to remove the windshield...

The bike I test rode - which is the personal demo of the owner of my dealer, had a taller screen on it just to make it easier to clean. I don't recall which one he has on it, but he is a neat freak and says that's the reason he changed screens.
