Hey all I bought this bike second hand and it has carbon all over it. That being said I was trying to take rear cowl off and having no luck?

I read manual it says to turn key and pull forward? I turn key I can hear latches turning but seems the cowl won't budge?

I am not sure of what brand the Cowl and Tail are to find instructions? Maybe you guys know? Do you have to pull pretty hard or anything I just don't want to damage the tail.

DAMN that’s got some carbon on it.

twist the key and push just that little carbon seat cowl forward toward gas tank, it should come right off

there may be a travel tool set that’s keeping the seat cowl stuck in place

and be extra cautions when you go to lock it back on, I broke a tab off of my carbon fiber one and had to go back to the plastic one

That’s what i was thinking but then I questioned why they would still have the keyhole in place?
Where would they have relocated the Diagnostic plug?

Might make a YT video cause it doesn’t wanna budge. And don’t wanna break it.

I got it some moron tried to put tool bag with tools under the cowl and bag was wound up in latch.

Glad I didn’t damage the CF.

Haha told u.

Dude ur bike is maxed out with carbon, I love it.

Can u take a pic of the under side of your carbon fiber seat cowl piece. Mine broke and I’m scared if I buy another one it’s going to brake again

Quite nice. I like the shiny carbon. Not sure why Ducati went mat. Any idea who is the manufacturer of your carbon? I've been looking to get some pieces, and it seems Motocomposites has good reviews. There's another company out of Germany, but you might as well purchase the Ducati Performance for the same price. I've heard Bestem is toilet. Any advice/tips would be great. Also, have you guys made your front fender shiny carbon too, or did you leave it mat? How does it look with the contrast?

Cheers.

+1 on the branding of yours, Hawk. do not buy Motocomposits. I got their seat cowl which cracked and cannot use and their CF heal guards are so flexible they’re probably gonna crack off soon

Another member here recommended that I get Carbovani I believe it is, but for now I’m holding off on CF

The FullSix is what I have and its solid. I have had it on and off about 15 times already no issues.

Matte Carbon is lighter and typically more expensive due to it being Dry Carbon. It has less resin and clear coat thus making it lighter. Usually with Dry Carbon the fabric is Pre-Impregnated with the right amount of resin which costs more then just smearing some on top then bagging it etc.
