Large dog, that is not fed that often. Cheaper and less litigation required than a firearm. As a rule, if you are uninvited and it bites you, it will make mincemeat of your bones. Pretty good deterrent against even the most hardened thief.

I have a tracker system for my R. I can see where my bike is at any time. I get notifications if the bike moves without the ignition system on, i.e. stolen.
If it does get stolen, I have to report it to the police......... wait for a crime number, then give that number to BikeTrac (the manufacturer) and then let them dilligently track down the henious culprits and bring them to good old British justice........
In no way will I attempt to get in my car, with a couple of other guys, with anything sharp.... or blunt and go looking for my bike which I can see and follow with my mobile phone, find it and politely ask for it's return.............Nope, no sir, definitely won't do that
