Hello everyone! As a happy owner of a Ducati Panigale V2, I am experiencing some temperature-related issues.

I don't want to leave this tremendously beautiful bike! It's so amazing and fun!

I was wondering if it is possible to create or customize a tuning/map setting that would allow me to use the bike with a maximum speed of only 135 km/h and significantly reduce its power. In this case, would the bike run cooler and emit less heat? I would use this mode during the summer or when I’m in the city, where the maximum speed is only 50 km/h.

Do you know of any other ways to prevent the bike from overheating?

Hi,

Can you define what you mean by overheating? What exactly are the temperature related issues?

Is your cooling system getting too hot all the time?

Or do you feel that the bike is really hot when you are riding in the city?

Regards,

Phil

Easy fix. Buy a scooter for the city... You can go to water and waterwetter and turn the fans on earlier which helps a little.

The issue is that the bike really gets hot everywhere and air coming out from the bike really burn me.
I thought that we could deactivate or tone down something at electronic level to allow the bike to never get hot, even tho now the bike can just go up to 100 kmph.

Buy a scooter for the city

I have it yet

Maybe a tune flash could help you and decrease the kick in temperature of the radiator cooling fans.

I have had a 1299S and I have a Bayliss V2, I find the when I ride in a spirited fashion heat is not a problem. Or just use the moped.

Yes! Riding in a spirited fashion not only increase airflow through the radiator but also makes that waterpump spin faster, increasing coolant circulation.
A couple times when I got stuck at red lights, I have reved up the engine with short bursts and noticed the engine temp going down a few degrees.

I think that idling or riding under 3k rpm doesn't bring enough airflow but more importantly doesn't make the waterpump spin fast enough to properly cool that engine. That's why this bike is not good for city riding.

In the summer run distilled water and water wetter. Turn the fans on earlier like 100C. Wrap the rear header and any other exhaust plumbing that's near you with header wrap. Buy nomex underwear... It's a struggle on all the superbikes. The V4's really bad.
