Was browsing around on eBay and came across this....

Ducati Superbike | eBay

Has a salvaged title but it still seems like it would make someone a great track bike, or you might could do like WhitePani and part it out and make a little money off of it.

The wording on the ad is very similar to a indian scammer selling a 1977 Duccati 900SS. That guy used a photo of someone else's bike that he got off the bevel heaven site. He was selling that bike for $7000 and all you had to do was give him some account details.

Sorry to be such a pessimist, but I've been selling on eBay/forums/craigslist for over 9 years noe and after 1000's of transactions wording is a big tell-tale sign of ad authenticity.

I'm not a believer. Now, if this is legit I'd buy this in a minute and drop a few $$ in track parts and have a killer for next season at a bargain. Unfortunately I don't believe the story of being overseas and "including free shipping." Yeah, okay.

Just give me $10,000 to my overseas account. I PROMISE I'll ship your bike. Lol

Yeah... If that's not a scam idk what is....
The red flags are certainly there. I mean I wouldn't dare buy it unless I could see it in person and check it out, but I'm across the country from it so i'm out. But i'm with you guys, my first thought was SCAM

Well, they tAg on the key ring says 'Demo' LOL

The guy prob. took the VIN and pics off of a demo bike at a dealership some where.

Scam - if you look at the youtube vid attached to the ad, it's from marknowhereman, who does (crappy) bike reviews and the scammer then tries to superimpose his handle over it a second after the video starts.

Stay away.

Super scam.... Will ship to anywhere....blah blah....non refundable $500...blah blah blah

Is anybody still doing bitcoin? What happened to that? Seems like a really good way to lose a lot of money permanently.

One guy tried to scam me couple of years back on a black R6 listed on Ebay, I reported to ebay the details, its a bit scary because I send money through ebay often, once I got done in Italy for a rear cowl for my 749, though Paypal, never got my money back, you could never get any sense from Paypal, IF you could get a hold of them, Ebay were not interested, told me to go to paypal. Since that day never use paypal its no more secure than a regular card payment, they skim a pile of money and Visa/mastercard have better fraud systems in place .
