Hi All,
Im toying with the idea of selling my Anniversario #132 ( 1126 miles, full Ti Akra system, DP quick release filler, DP carbon air conveyor covers, DP key guard cover, Evotech tail tidy) but no idea what its worth. There are a couple floating around in the dealers at $27K and $30K but that seems hopeful given the price of a new V4 ( obviously not as good as the Anniversario ;) ).

Thoughts / guidance appreciated.

Cheers,
Ben

I would be interested KBB has it retail at $23k

at the very least 20-25% off what the msrp of the bike alone cost you.....25% if you want to sell it quick....$22,500 ?

If you like it then keep it. They're beautiful bikes and they're pretty rare.

It'll probably never appreciate in value back up to its MSRP, so I wouldn't hold onto it just for the sake of a hopeful return on investment. Bikes generally are poor investments except for the very very rare/unique ones.

Ive never bought a bike for an investment, they usually end up getting track time, commuting, general weekend blasting about but Im finding that I just don't get the time to enjoy it properly. Maybe its the generally shocking standard of driving and road surfaces in the Bay Area thats putting me off ;)

Anniversario is collectable

V4 including the speciale isn't that special

i don't see anything collectible about it.

it's a paint job and another so called plaque bike.

just look at the 1098R's which actually had racing pedigree and they sell for 40% of original MSRP.

these bikes depreciate like a rock.

I did say collectable not it will appreciate in value.
They only made so many....

Compare it to everyday panigales they sit for sale for ages and have lost a ton of more money. Not many vehicles ever appreciate in value.

Ive only ever seen one for sale here at 45K aud and was gone in two weeks same for SL, the only 1199SL that isn't selling well is one that has been heavily modified.

Anniversary 1299

I agreed! All Ducatis depreciate like a rock! They all have the same engine and performe the same. The 1299 Anniversary is a gorgeous bike but I would rather have the V4S everyone is claiming great things about it Performance wise that is... and to me that is more worth it!

Ducati are the masters at re naming re painting something not special and marketing it as being special .
Anniversario Tri Colore Corse Edition Bayliss don't get me started on those Diavel bikes it's on and on .
Marketing that's all .

Man if you can find one selling in the 22k range I'll buy it right now...and I already have one in the garage.

well collectible to me is something that is valuable and sought after and the anniversary while a nice looking bike does not fall into that category it's literally a paint job.

Give me a supermono or anything of that ilk and we have a very different discussion.

yes...i know what you mean....but the OP was asking where to price it, and $22,500 was the "sell quick" number i thought would work....(i guess you think so too) :)

my experience with Ducatis and motorcycles in general has most always been an under market value/priced sale...i most often take trade-in value at the dealer level, or sell privately for near/close to the same as a trade-in -- i am usually moving on to the next bike & do not wait or hold off for getting "the right price"...i find whatever deal i make is close enough....and i'm out riding the new one along my chosen timeline....while that approach doesn't work for everyone, it has worked for me....in the end, its all what makes you happy, and finding another Anniversario can only be a good thing :)

So true. Look at the 1098R, the Baylis, or the Desmo. The only Ducati that is collectible is the super mono. 67 made with a auction price in the range of 50 to 75k.

Problem with the DesmoRR is they made too many of them. They pop up on eBay quite often and sell for about half their original price. But the DesmoRR is a real-deal exotic. A motogp bike with lights. In 20 years I could see them being a $100k bike.
