Selling 1199 frame question - Title implications

Hello everyone,
Question for the group, as this is my first time selling a frame.

A buyer from East Coast wants to purchase my frame.

This buyer had purchased a wrecked 1199 that became a track only bike. But the owner who wrecked it (and converted to track only), never got it rebuilt by certified builder, and the title indicates salvage....and so the state wont let the new owner register the bike.

So buyer from east coast needs to swap out frame with clean title.

I guess I sell the frame and hand over my clean title with it along with a bill of sale, the buyer installs my frame and takes my title and registers in his name.

My question is, having never done this before, is there anything I need to do to protect myself from liability?

My 1199 was up for registration renewal this year, and after talking to the DMV (here in austin texas) was told I could just let it lapse since i was parting out the entire bike anyways...which I am in the process of doing.

Get a notarized bill of sale. What he does with it after the fact is on him. You just need to be able to prove you sold it.
