Sharp Edge on Shifter

I noticed that my left Dainese boot is kinda trashed, just above the shift pad.

Looks to have been chewed up by this very sharp outer edge on the lever......

.... rather than our dog, that got the initial blame.

Smoothed it with a file, but wondered if anyone else has this.
 
Just checked my Sidi's.....No marks at all..... Have around 1000 miles of use on them...
 
Yeah, mine was like that too, chewed through the extra layer of the shift pad on my boot before I realized what the problem was.

Casting flash. Grind it down with some sandpaper/emery or a dremel.
