After much research on which carbon to install, I chose the Shift Tech Carbon. Ilmberger costs as much as Ducati Performance, and the other manufacturers of carbon have multiple negative reviews. I installed the Shift Tech Carbon air duct covers and ignition cover in gloss. The covers are very close to an exact replica of the stock pieces, and the weave pattern is very close to the one Ducati uses. I did not have to do anything to the carbon pieces to get them to fit. They don’t bend, as the OEM ones do, so a bit of wiggling, patience, and many prayers were present during installation. The pieces fit great and the gaps left by the OEM pieces are gone. There is also a nice rubber strip along the top of the ignition cover, that touches the tank, to keep the tank from being scratched.
Finally, Guido runs the shop, and his client service was top-box and right on point. Emails were returned in a timely fashion, and he ALWAYS responded. It was great doing business with him, and I’m looking forward to my next addition.
