Can someone give me some info on installation. I received the Sub frame covers with extremely limited instruction for installation.

I am assuming that heat tape supplied should be put on first before two part epoxy?

Is it necessary to remove the shock on the left side? I am having trouble test fitting. I am thinking that removing rear fairings will help?

I just installed them. The cover will install w/out removing your shock. Start from the bottom part first and "gently" force it in. The CF is flexibile and durable to handle some flex to get it past the shock and on the subframe. Just take your time, it is doable...

Yes, put the heat foil on, and then epoxy.

I agree, looks great. I find over 60 no problem under that it gets a little warm.

Mine fit great but the epoxy supplied was all dried up, I think it helped with the heat a lot here in south Florida

Ive had these since the day they came out. no problem with anything. the heat tape was already on there. the epoxy was fine. Still have no problems still look brand spanking new. didnt help with heat but i didnt buy them for that i bought them cause they look fantastic. great product.

Went on Ok but found it very difficult on shock side so I ended up taking back of shock loose and swinging out a little. Went on with ease then.

They do look great but now need frame plugs IMO.

I couldn't put my hand on the frame before with engine temps in the 200 range so I will do an evaluation after I get a chance to take it out. Been raining for few days now and hate the clean up. Also cooler temps at the time would not allow a fair evaluation.

I had mine since day one as well, I didn't want to use the exproxy Just in case I wanted to change it later something less permanent if I may.. The use of frame plugs holds things together nicely in my case, no rattle or risk of losing them down the road.

You are right the instruction is .....

Put tape on first. I cleaned all parts with alcohol, let dry then put on tape.

It is not two part epoxy but already to use, one tube per side. The glue goes on as per the drawing.

I myself found it too hard to install with shock in place so I jacked up the bike, removed the rear shock bolt and then swung shock out of way. Then all was easy. I also removed the rear fairing though not really necessary.
