I have a Shorai LFX18A12 from my old 1198 that I wanted to use on the 1299 but the 1299 + power cable won't quite reach over the battery's + terminal :(
Has anyone fitted this battery and had to move the cable?!
I was not comfortable trying to get some slack out of the cable!
Heard there is a longer cable available?!

Instead of starting a new thread, does anybody have a list of which lightweight batteries will fit properly on the 1299?

I ordered a 12cell Ballistic battery but it doesn't fit.

The ones from Ducati for the 2015 R and SL you still need to replace the cables which comes with the battery kit. Pain in the butt to route the new cables behind the battery but it works.

Not looking to buy a battery (or anything else) from Ducati. They like to add 500% (literally in some cases) to the cost of items simply because they can.

I want to stay with Ballistic batteries as they have proven great on all of my other bikes. But the 12 cell won't fit.

I got the 12 cell because I figured those big ... pistons would need all the help they can get, especially when it is cold. But since there are no headlights or anything like that, I might can go with the 8 cell.

I was looking at batteries on ECIMA the 999 and 1199 Aliant batteries are completely different sizes, if that helps!

I use a Shorai 14something battery. just had to add some foam (supplied) to let it fit snugly, otherwise perfect.

I've installed a JMT HJT9B-FP-SI. It doesn't really fit well but with some brute force and cursing it worked... the cables will get a little stretched. I'm happy with that battery. BTW: I use a JMT HJT12B-FP for 18 months now in my Monster 1200S and have no issues.

I got the Shorai LFX18 and also installed the Motoelectric Hicap cable set and then the cables fit nicely.

I have the Earth X lithium battery and am satisfied.
My last 2 Shorai lithiums went to ....…and both within 1 year…

I'm very happy with EarthX; I liked it so much that I installed them in my other Ducatis (where they were a breeze to install).

The short power cables on the Panigale make life difficult. The EarthX comes with terminal extenders, but to get the exact distance and fit, one needs to cut them down to length. Given how tough the metal is in those extender plates, you'll need power tools, preferably a bench grinder.

I bought the Antigravity, Panigale specific battery and it's a perfect fit. It has triple the cranking amps of our stock one and weighs 4.5 lbs less. No brainer.

I posted a link in a previous battery discussion.

P.S. Even in the recent 20 degree weather, I have zero problems starting; it fires up instantly every time.

Thanks for that.

Does it come with the longer cables?

...., on second thought, since the AG battery is an exact/direct replacement, I guess longer cables wouldn't be necessary.
