bike is will be getting lowered soon with Aella lower link and wanted to see if anyone could recommend a shorter sidestand that would work for bike?

thanks

I have never heard of one but you might have the stock one cut down and weld the foot back on.

Call T Rex. Fully adjustable, billet construction, nicely machined. They should have it in the works for the V4. Have it on the 1299s. Excellent product

I have just lowered my Panigale V2 and have ordered this side stand. I'm taking a punt that the V2 and the 959 are close enough to work the same! Fingers crossed. Does anyone have any ideas why this might not work?

This might not properly work. The OEM has a magnet for side-stand sensor. Without it, it stall when shifting and will always show "side stand" on the panel

Do you think there will be a way to remove the sensor from the original one and fit it on the T-Rex?.. or nobble the sensor so it's always up? (Not the best option)

Hmmmm, yea I’m betting that’s not much of an issue. Maybe do a little research before you engage.

I really think the OEM stand is short already. I have 2022 and it leans really low already with the stock. If the amount to be lowered is just 1 inch, I believe it will be okay.

Has anyone tried these instead?

Unfortunately I am particularly short legged (although 5' 6" tall I have 26” legs). The back has been lowered now but the side-stand is just too tall now. I haven't lowered the front yet to fix the geometry as it will topple over. Once the t-rex side stand has arrived and been fitted I can fix the geometry and then hopefully raise the back slightly again. Once that's done maybe the t-rex won't be necessary but it's probably going to be needed.

Hi all,

Great news, my T-Rex kick stand arrived today and I've just fitted it. I thought you would like to know my findings.

1) The T-Rex kickstand for the 899, 959, 1199 and 1299 does directly fit on the Panigale V2 2020 model.

2) The engine cut-off is built into the mechanism attached to the kick stand, not the kick stand itself, therefore it still works perfectly.

3) The spring is taken off the original kickstand, however it is a little tighter to fit and isn't as snappy to drop or push back, this may be adjustable but I'll need to wait until it stops raining to check.

All in all, I'm very happy with the installation. It was very simple to do and looks great. It leans over really far at the moment so I may adjust the height after I've readjusted the geometry of the bike.

Please see the images attached. Any questions please let me know.

Thanks

Th '22 side stand is annoyingly short... I would remove it all together or attach a rubber boot of sorts.

Or even fit a Streetfighter side stand because that feels fine.

I doubt it... Leaning the Streetfighter down on it's kickstand is significantly less scary.

I may verify this soon.

haha, you're not the only one. Just got off the bike and I can't believe it... I know the stand is down and I still doubt myself because I feel like I'm just lowering and lowering. Someone suggested that these bikes might be coming with the rear shock fully extended. There might be some truth to it. I'm going to have sag set when i go in for 600 mi
