Looks like Skully helmets has done bust.

I hope anyone here that pre-ordered managed to snag one otherwise you might be out of pocket.

Looks like I am one of the many early adopters (bought the helmet in 2014) who will never now receive it. Shame as I was really looking forward to it. Next time I will wait until a product has truly come to market and mass production is in evidence of being carried out, before I part with any further funds. Gutted, angry and feel for all the others like me, who put their perhaps mis-placed faith in Skully to deliver.

It has nothing to do with the death of innovation and everything to do with market assessment. Skully couldn't deliver the technology it promised at a price point where it could be viable. They misread their market and failed because of it. Ordinarily savvy investors would have probably figured it out had they scrutinized the company. What really happened is that the investors (crowd sourced) were duped into buying magic beans which turned out to be ordinary beans and otherwise worthless.

I wouldn't mind the tech, but they lost me when I found out the helmet itself was a $100 model from China.
