Seems to be a simple question... but this forum seems to be full of debate on it...
Does anybody have the real answer????
If you would read a couple posts, I talked to my service guy Saturday:
The new map is already at some dealers (mine) and available to load.
It takes advantage of the faster reving caused by the 41T, but will supposedly work fine with the 39T
My 14/39 is nearly identical to the 15/41
Since this is an optional change (unlike the heat shield), there is a cost:
Map: $30
Chain $121
Sprocket $??
Dude
I did read your posts But please bear in mind other members have said there is no new map..so.... I am looking for facts.... Do you know the new map Number by chance???
I'd like to know as well, thanks I wanted this done the other day...
You posted yout dealer had it, and you were taking it in, what happened?
The whole story was he had some new files, but didn't know what they were or even if they were for the Pani. He called around and they said it had not been pushed out and they haven't seen it yet, and that's when I contacted you then called your service dude. He told me they'd have it in probably a week.

Will everyone stop telling people to SEARCH! THE SEARCH IS ...., and unless its a sticky, having to plough through 35 pages of questionable 'facts' that could quite possibly be out of date is mind bogglingly frustrating too. If you don't want to answer then don't answer but lets not berate people every time a question gets posted!
Making excuses for being lazy. Google actually brings up the correct thread almost all the time. This forum has the most hits for 1199 on the Web. You won't convince me otherwise. It's forum etiquette. Good luck getting one of the 3 or so contributing members if you you want to complain about them trying to reduce redundancy.
Tell you what I won't mention it again if that's what you want.
The service guy told me that it wouldn't be released until April, so if it is next week that be great. It seems to me that it should be released to each dealer at the same time, no?
The name of the new "ECU Software is j01100020204.mot" for both CAL and CDN.

Seriously! Lazy! Get real, I've spent a ton of time searching, on this site and Google but currency is the issue. The obvious terms here are something like 'new map 1199'. The first 4 results are from Dec & November and the next most recent is this thread we are on. The 1199 site itself throws up 82 different posts. 'New map' doesnt even register a result, and neither does DDA which is a pretty specific term.
So given the pace of development, having seen that set of results I would post again given those results. Also everyone is going to search for different terms and every set of terms will throw up a different set of results, that is the nature of search, so you cant legislate for that.
I try and answer questions and give feedback when its requested as a productive member of this community where I believe I have some information that might be useful IMHO so please don't lecture me about etiquette. Good etiquette would be to have a active STICKY section instead of out of date reviews, a thread on white 1199 and other pretty useless information.
Anyone know if the name / id# is the same in Europe ?
