I’m sure I didn’t break the thing lol, just wondering how I can get rid of the three dashes “- - -“ that show up when I’m over 185mph, or did I mess it up at that speed? My bike feels like it’s still going but I can’t tell how fast I’m going, don’t have a fancy GPS or anything of the sort. Thanks in advance and if it’s already been posted, sorry.

If you see those on the dash, your dash is defective. Sell the bike asap and never ride again.

On a serious note, 186 is officially the max speed on the dash. Anything past, ---
You'll need another method of tracking for speed. The bikes dash won't be it. Completely normal. That or slow the hell down!!

you have a $25,000 fancy bike. You can afford to buy a "fancy gps" to track your speed above 186.

What’s a good GPS?

we can hit 186 in 5th gear, these are 200mph+ machines!

on another note, if u have factory exhaust manifolds with the flapper valve, it’ll blow shut and limit acceleration power. Gotta lock wire it open and disconnect it’s electronic servo (on the 1299 at least)

Never had the balls to hold it open that long, esp in the northeast, not many places you can do that safely.
No track i have been to can support those speeds.

4min 30 second, look at that speedo

I feel like those speeds in a car gets u tickets, but on a bike you can just disappear. Unless you have a badge or a laminate, then pull over immediately :)

Everybody does it

You see the video of 5-UP last year? Almost took his life.
I dont see him doing this anymore.
To each its own, maybe im just getting old ;)

Max Ive seen is 290 on a public road- 6.00 a.m. in the country on a stretch I've been over many times, my only comment is that it feels a hell of lot faster than a quick squirt to 270 on a track. Once youre over the need to tuck and hang on threshold its all a blur anyway.
