What is the main reason for upgrade? Most of the comments I have seen say there is not much difference between the stock and comfort seat.

I have the comfort seat and like it. It sits a lot higher than the stock seat, I went from being able to touch the ground flat foot, to being on my toes unless the bike is slightly tilted over to one side.
In hindsight, I wish I had checked the race seat to see how grippy it is. Haven't had any issues with the comfort seat, but every little bit helps on a bike that needs a fair bit of effort to hold on to at speed.

The grip is incredible
I don’t slide back any more
Helps a lot, solved a lot of my riding issue.
But it is stiffer than stock
If looking for more comfort, it is not the way to go

I have this seat on my R6 race bike. Looks and fits great and has a ton of grip.

I changed the seat to the comfort one the day i got v4s had the comfort one on my 1299
its a lot better

I had the comfort seat on my V4 and I loved it. It looked a lot better than the standard seat and the additional padding did make it more comfortable while riding.
As mentioned above though, it does add an extra 20mm in height. I was a bit worried about this as I was already tip toeing on this bike, but I was still able to comfortably ride it with the extra height.

I bought the race seat for the extra height. I am 6'2" with long legs and the oem seat had me sitting int he bike a bit too much for my preference.
