Kevin & Gnance really don't want Bronch and myself to have any fun at the Ridge tomorrow. They keep cursing the weather cause they can't go tomorrow.

Once I finish my paperwork, I think I'll swing by the BMW dealer and check out the hp4.........I mean the Kreiga backpack.

U kidding I'm hoping for good weather for u, until you threw the hp4 reference out there now I hope it pours

TRAITOR!!!! you should know better only with Ducati do you get the mug and the Ducati/Starbucks rewards card....

I can't buy no Beemer. When you see one going down the road at first glance they look like gixxers. Just how are you supposed to be a poser on that?

The gixxer is more of a Cyclopes. This reminds me of a friend of mine, he was looking at buying the newer zx10 and always said it was the bike to have, one day he was out riding and said he looked in his rear view and saw a bike coming up on him, he looked at the dual headlight and bought it was a newer black zx10. He then added that as the bike passed him he realized it was the s1000 when I asked him how he figured it out he said he saw the headlights clearer and it looked like a zx10 that had gone full retard, he know calls the BMW samurai face or full retard bike, even though he now owns one.

In oh so many less creaky years back, I always put performance as the ultimate way to choose a bike. Nowadays they're all so damn good that its down to beauty and an entertaining lively bike. That's why I kept my 07 R1 for only a year, to Honda like smooth. My zx10 was a nasty shaky nose up ass waggin flamin beast. A joy to ride on the track and try to control. My 998SFE had a roughness and a feel on the track that told you that that was her home. Don't know if I could go back into an i4 again unless they throw some rough edges back into them again.

I agree 100% Twisty. My 08 CBR 1K was smooth and silky but plain and boring compared to the Pani. No where near the beauty and the beast that the Pani gives me.

Just picked up my bike today from motocorsa. I love the 41t sprocket!!

Also, got a half assed heat shield update....only did the cylinder head covers as I actually like the metal covered and the black and red contrast. I passed on the fugly exhaust heat shield update though. I dont' know if just doing the cylinder head covers makes any difference with regards to comfort, but I like the looks. I only rode it for 12 miles tonight so it was hard to tell in such a short ride. Also, the bike looks awesome once you lose the stock mirrors!

Did the front tire ever touch the ground in those 12 miles :D

Yeah I'm curious about the heat shields myself. I don't like the looks of them and was considering the cylinder shields but if they don't do anything I like the looks of the cylinders myself and would rather leave them off.

I got an service appt. at Motocorsa on the 15th for the 41T and maybe the heat shields so I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Here's a pic. I didn't get hot on tonight's ride, but granted it was only for 12 miles and it was kind of cold out. The bike never got over 175 F. I'll post up my impressions on the heat if I ever get a chance to get it out for a longer ride. Looks like it's gonna get all wet again in Washington.

The 41T sprocket was the best change I made, it's a noticeable difference. For the heat shield I did the opposite, I like the look of the cylinder heads so, just went with the termi cf heat shield. Still ugly and bulbous.
