I rode my bike into the dealer yesterday just to get the 600mi service warning light dismissed. I dropped it off for svc last week at 593 mi instead of 621mi. Whatever. When I got the bike back it would not start.
Root cause: Panigales seem to not like starting in high humidity & high temp (my take was 80+ RH and 90+ degrees F) when stopped at or near 217F indicated temp. The bike will not turn over at all without a throttle position sensor remapping.
Fix: Dealers have an alternate TPS setting to open up the throttle a bit more on start. This is not noticeable while starting or riding, but did fix the problem.
Backup solution: wait 20min for your bike to cool off and cross your fingers.
