Clean that chain up and you might breath some more life into it

If you hope to keep the chain... thoroughly clean it, apply chain lube, check for any binding links, and check that each and every roller spins freely. Mild surface corrosion on the outer side of the link plates can safely, and effectively, be removed with a fine wire bush.
