I wanted to comment further on the discussion of the S1000 v. 1199.
I believe the majority of us who ride, can't ride these bikes to the limits of their ability. So the BMW will get around a track 1 second faster than the Ducati with a pro rider in the seat...Is this the only factor that goes into a purchase? Not for me.
The Panigale is competitive.
Let's get into technology, who wins...Ducati
Rider comfort? I'm 6'2", there isn't a bike manufactured made for me. They all need adjusted, whether it's rear sets, seat or clipon's. No winner.
Let's finish with visual aspects...I know I don't need to type another word.
Ducati Panigale, hands down is the most beautiful bike manufactured today, hence the title of this post. No other bike in it's class could be shown in an art gallery or cause fainting spells.
These are the reasons why the Panigale wins!!!
Thank you....end post
