Had my 1199 for 7 days now back for repairs to clutch still do not know what is wrong
What exactly happened?
Once bike is warm and in traffic clutch will not release. Been back to dealers once thought it was sorted only 15 miles down road starts to stick again this time bike has been collected and back in workshop.
Still not sorted out problem, Not bad for a 227 MILE BIKE AND BEST PART OF £20,000

That really blows. They will get it sorted, so don't let this spoil your enjoyment.
Probably just some 10p defective spring, or something, thats causing all this bother.
Why not get them to bolt on a Ducati Performance goodie, while they have it
..... could get some goodwill thrown into the mix

Mmm this is very concerning, just reach about the 400 mile mark and my clutch lever has started to occasionally become really stiff, no rude jokes please! I thought it was the little black squashy washer near the lever adjuster but, after reading this am some what worried now it's a bigger issue!

There seems to be a problem. I just read that forum member Styler's clutch quit working at 1500 miles. And there's others reporting similar problems.
I have 730 miles on my 1199 S and no problems with clutch. But I sure will be asking the dealer about it when the bike has it's first service Tuesday.

I noticed after my 600 mile service, if the bike is cold (sat all night) and I have it in 1st gear, the bike pulls forward when starting it (regardless of how much I pull in the clutch or adjust it)...

I had my clutch problem three days ago at over 1600 miles. I couldn't pull in the clutch and if I could I couldn't get it into gear. Took it to the dealer. The emailed Ducati with the issue and apparently there over-torquing the slave cylinder bolts for the clutch so that when your bike gets really warm and your clutch is warm the metals expand and considering its so tight it won't allow the clutch to operate correctly. They fixed mine and it's been great ever since.

Try setting your clutch lever adjustment screw so the lever is further out, that should disengage it.

I appreciate our bikes have warranty etc, but rather than mess around with a dodgy slave, always an excuse to buy a snazzy aftermarket replacement - JHP or CNC anyone ?

This is common with wet clutch. Plates stick together in oil. Dont start bike in gear when cold. Start in neutral with clutch out.
slave cylinder
My S with 700 miles did the same. Many UK owners have also reported the problem. Ducati suggests removing the slave and scouring the piston with Scotch Brite. Seems the clearance between the cylinder and piston is incorrect and with engine heat they bind and cause the clutch to be hard to pull in and grab on the way out. With mine I can hear a creaking sound coming from the slave when the motor is hot and switched off. As soon as Yoyodyne has one built,I will be changing mine. My 916 and 996 also had bad slaves. Evoluzione is out of business. Too bad since their slaves worked well for me.

I have but regardless how far out I set it (the screw) it still grabs a tiny bit. When the bike warms up, it seems this issue goes away, but it comes right back once its completely cooled off...
