Yes he's fast, but he you didn't mention the fact that he was out there the weekend before and that he was on soft compound tires while everyone else was not.

He's such a waste of talent, little whiny ...... Frustrates the .... out of me cuz he should be in there with the rest of them. Would make for some awesome racing.

i guess you missed this part of the article debunking what you just said.

Did Stoner have an advantage over the rest because he had tested at Sepang last week? The Australian did spend time on the bike, but he did not run a lot of laps, not wanting to risk a crash in the difficult conditions.
Crash.net’s Peter McLaren, who was the only journalist to be at the private test for all three days, estimated that Stoner had put in perhaps 20 or 30 laps over two days.
Most of the MotoGP field had matched that by the time they took a break for lunch on Monday. But they had all ridden a full season in 2016. Stoner had not thrown his leg over a bike since the middle of last year.

i wish he would race as well

ill bet you whatever you want 29 does 0 as usual.

No bet needed, I'm with you there. Depending on the bike's performance, he could maybe challenge for a win on the right track this season. He'll be cause for some excitement as always, but unless he stops crashing, for sure he'll never achieve anything.

in moto gp its been 1 year iaonne was astonished at that ride stoner was the fastest ducati rider as well.

I'd gladly swap lorenzo for stoner any day... While stoner deff whines- Lorenzo is the KING of the cry babies.

Also im still in shock they let Iannone go. He's had his issues clearly. But i think he will continue to improve and be a great rider. Still young. Dovi is great as well just getting old and while consistent- hes not pacing well with the younger ones. He seems pretty sure of himself this year however.

What are you shocked about?

JLo is their #1 asset, and he's the one they want winning races. Iannone is a liability. A fast liability, but still a liability.

"We don't need to set a fast time here, what matters is who's fastest in Qater" -Paolo Ciabatti.

Tell CS congrats for winning a track day, we know he won't in Qatar.

from a german site:

MotoGP's Sepang test last week, Casey Stoner Ducati not only gave important feedback, but also provided a day-to-day lead-time for a look-up and underlined that he had forgotten nothing after years of racing. On the third day of the test, the two-time MotoGP World Champion was only 0.271 seconds behind the top in the immediate strike distance. Werkspilot Andrea Dovizioso, who goes to his fifth season at Ducati in 2017, had to queue behind Testpilot Stoner on the first day, but was better in the final and finished the third quickest time with 1: 59.553 minutes. From Stoner's performance, he was neither surprised nor intimidated: "It's not the first year. I know him well. Everyone knows that he's fast, even though he's not racing at all. "First and foremost, Stoners test drives are important for the team and work on the 2017 Desmosedici. "The tests he makes for us continue. You get more feedback from a fast driver and can compare, "explains Dovizioso in conversation with motorsport-total.com. "Even if he has run the round with a soft tire and not with our tire, his speed is fascinating." Last year, the Australian had been faster in tests. Dovizioso recalls: "We landed in the fourteenth place or so. I was not very fast, because the bike was still very early. He was a little faster. "Nevertheless, he could only talk about it positively, no sign of competition." This is not a problem. He belongs to the team, "Dovizioso says diplomatically. That Stoner despite the tester sequence a comeback continues to exclude and no more races want to drive, Dovizioso nevertheless nevertheless welcomes. "I think everyone is happy about it," he laughs. Whether Stoner would be as strong as the race distance, the Ducati factory plan has his doubts anyway: "I think he is simply not in the best condition to race. He does not train to race. "" I do not know if he could drive a good race from start to finish. But its speed is extraordinary, "Dovizioso emphasizes again. At the end of 2012, Stoner hung his racing career, since 2016 he has been working as a test driver for Ducati. For the Italian manufacturer, he won the only world title in 2007. Comeback rumors, he replied: "I have no interest in racing again."
