The outside edge is also ground down flat.

been sittin in toolbox drawer so no its not going to be spotless.... there is no road debris, thats a rubber boot its purpose is to keep out the debris. i have taken this apart and cleaned it, but if itll make you feel better ill take it apart and clean it again.
after seeing your last post, your a dipshit.. heres the ground down edge you speak of... which by the way is actually a factory machined flat edge,, get a grip man.. take your meds.. then go play in the street

I’ve never (until now) heard of anyone taking a master cylinder apart to clean it….but then again, you strike me as a unique seller in a variety of ways.
Might not be a bad idea for you to clean it again though…..and clean out your toolbox drawer while you’re at it
