Strange tire sidewall markings

Went to the track Sunday and when I was looking over the rear tire I noticed something that I hadn't seen in my past track days(on other bikes/tires). I have a weird star or christmas tree light pattern on the side walls of both sides. The wear pattern on the carcass of the tire looks normal with even wear all across.
IMO it looks as if I'm under pressure and riding around on flat tires. I road with 27psi so that should have been plenty of air. I'm betting that this is normal, and I'm just seeing something I've never looked for before.

I had a feeling that I'd need to post pics. I will once I get home.
But if you can imagine when you string xmas lights branch to branch pattern.
 
if it is strictly on the sidewall, that is indicating that the tire is at some point is wrinkling. very common in drag racing, and if you watch a slow mo camera it'll show the wrinkling at the launch, great for drag racing, probably not so good for riding a course.

interesting, as the tire wear pattern doesn't seem too bad... at first sight it looks like edge of rim wobbled on the sidewall ??? strange...
 
Mine has the same thing. I looked at once, and never again. I'm not worried about it.

My first thought was flex, but I'm not running insanely low pressures.

Anyways your not the first or only one to notice it.:)
 
That's VERY strange, but nothing to worry about. Doesn't seem related to suspension issues. The actual tread looks good.
 
This is a pic of the bike when I picked it up (new).... it is showing the same thing and has not even been out of the door.... I am presuming this slight color change is due to the oil used in the mold for the tires.... this is added so the tire does not stick to the mold once molded.... now I stand to be corrected.... but I have seen the same thing on mine now that I have done over 1100 kms.

Here is a pic from the other side..... showing the same thing (need to look close though) as stated this was brand new.........

It just hit me lol. It's fling from the fluid they use to help seal the bead on the tire.

I"d say that was just flex. The uneveness of the line must be dictated by the internal cords of the tyre. Differing strength and so on. I remember reading a magazine article about racing+racers and mention was made of the "Dunlop" logo could be read in the brake dust on the wheel rims edge. Jeez, how about that for big flex. :eek:
