Well, up late and bored.. tossed together a little footage from July 1st/2nd weekend @ COTA. Even got a little 1299SL action in there for ya.. ;)

Grab a beverage, sit back and enjoy, critique, ridicule.. whatever floats your boat! :D

Were you riding with Ducati Austin that day or in a private garage on your own?

I really need to get back out to CotA at some point.

Nice video, that's fast right there.....2m25s

We kind of run tandem with Ducati Austin. Private garage, but next door to them each time.

You should definitely come on back out! It's a blast. Cleanses the soul.. :D

Working on it.. got a little ways to go. Would like to get under 2:20 one of these days. Fastest of the weekend for me was a 2m24.18s.

By the time we get clear track, it's usually late on Sunday, and I'm beat and the tires are more or less shot by then. Not to mention it's like 100F+ with some pretty wicked humidity.. yack!

I was getting a bit bored with the zero editing in most of my vids, so decided to add some tunes. Not sure if I made it better or worse, lol! :p

Nice work.

Need to ride that track.

I heard they are quite expensive?

$399/day in the summer heat <> spring/fall is $499/day and usually a two day weekend. Garage rentals are $75/spot or $600 for a full garage (8 spots). It's nice since they all/each have plenty of power and restrooms are in the garages.

Occasionally, the events sometimes coincide with a concert.. sat on the balcony and listened to a few after a day on the track. Was pretty nice.

I get on PI about 5-6 times a year, try to do back to back and get in one race meet annually.
Got my next race meet there at the end of August. Ive ridden Mugello twice , PI would be my pick (just)!

Talking of Phillip Island, yes the weather is not always ideal , but the track does dry quickly ! ALso at ride days we are often warned about the Cape Barren Geese loitering on the in track at turn one, 270kph, nice. Last track I rode at in Queensland , "this flag is for , there may be some kangaroos on the track " as if there isn't enough to for the brain to manage.

My only tip:

Onboard videos are much, much, much better without music overlaid. Please just give us the engine noise and nothing else!

Awesome! Going to make it happen one of these days for sure. Sounds like PI is the ticket.

Nice video. What tires were you running?

I was running SC2s front and rear. I'm toying with the idea of running an SC1 in the rear only and keeping the SC2 up front for stability. Just not sure how the SC1 would hold up in the kind of heat/track temp we get.

Bathurst is fun on a bike. Wish bike racing would return there.

Just come up to Hidden valley in the winterless north!

 Yeah thats quite expensive. lol

My favorite Thunderhill (great track and facility with power, wifi, shower and etc) is $180/day

Laguna Seca is like $250/day.

Still have to do a track days there.

Yeah, normal track days around Texas are around $150/day. COTA is on another level tho. I don't think I could even take the Duc to Laguna with all the sound restrictions and what-not.
