I know this question probably already has been asked but I couldn’t find enough info so need your help.
My 2012 1199s, I want to set it up for hard canyon riding, I need more feel from the front end too. Is there a set up that someone has already been through to make this work? Need info on preloads and settings so that it will turn in but give me good feel too. Thanks in advance.

By canyon you mean fast sweepers? If so, the 1199 is not going to feel comfortable for that. It's a bike that does best with late apex trail braking and aggressive corner exits while uprighting the bike. It's best with technical riding and no maintenance throttle. Either on throttle or braking.

I just use the preset race mode settings fyi and track pressures

Be systematic, how is your baseline set up? Are the forks, shock and tires in good condition. The 1199 is getting on and if the shock hasn't been rebuilt it may need servicing etc. Who much do you weigh, what pressures do you run, to get somewhere you need to know your starting point. These bikes tend to run wide if not set up the right way, by sweepers do you mean fast touring speed or fully cranked over, be specific. There's plenty of threads on suspension here
