Swappable parts from our 1199 to 1299

All carbon dp trim will fit
Also if you wanted to update your look

The front fairing stay mounts the frame exactly the same so u would just need to buy a front fairing stay and upper fairing

The side electrical panels are the same btw

Same with tail and subframe I can put a 1299 subframe on urs and get the updated tail look


I checked the bike out last night to make sure all racing fairings parts will fit before selling any racing body parts


The front nose of the bike has the winglets already molded to it so that's an update to give it the wider look.
 
So... what about the Akra...? Anyone?

Hope so, will transfer it to my 1299s if possible. Dealer thought it could.
 
I'm liking the newest exhaust shield on the 1299, I might consider swapping mine out, if it would fit..
 
Ahhhh,....no need to sell the bikes after all...

Anybody knows if the fork and shock springs are swappable between 1199S and 1299S ?

I managed to look at the parts catalogue for the 1299 at my local dealer. It looks as though the rear subframe is identical bar two points where the tool holder/seat lock compartment plastic moulding bolts to it. There are two screws on each side (unlike on the 1199) plus the three large Allen bolts that attach to the top of the frame (as before). The seat cowl and the side panels themselves attach to the plastic tool holder compartment moulding. The only downside is because this plastic part is all one unit, conceivably a carbon equivalent will be very expensive as it encompasses the "vents" as part of the moulding, if that makes sense!

I changed the springs in my 1199S for my weight and kept the original ones. If I can swap springs between 1199S and 1299S, before selling the 1199S I'll install back the original ones and use the other ones for the 1299S. That would be the point ....
 
Termi's are not swappable. The up map and the headers are different. So I was told today when I was doing the deal. Can anyone confirm??
