Hi All, I just installed a T800 map on my 2017 hypermotard. it made an amazing difference. pulls hard, and the 4k/5k rpm emissions testing bump is gone.

that got me interested in this kit:

I've read through some of the older T800 threads, and it sound like there are mixed results.

has anyone done this to a 2020? if so, worth it for performance gains? run into issues (quick shifter, etc)?

thanks

I did this kit to my 2020v4. Love it and love the sound, got my kit for 2k total. Everything went together perfect and don’t let Ducati tell you, that you have to take the whole bike apart, there only looking for money. Shifting is perfect, I disconnected my 02 sensors also.

Dealers try to rob people by charging them $1,000 to install the Akra system. Their justification is they claim you have to take the whole bike apart.

gotcha, thanks. seems like just doing slip ons should be a doable DIY project

Honestly doing the full system isn’t that bad. The hardest part was removing the stock cans which you’d be doing for the slip on as well.

I've watched the build on youtube and it sure does look like most of the bike is apart. Down to loosening the subframe, right?

Definitely don’t have to remove the subframe I left my tank on also. Radiator was still connected to the hoses I just unbolted it and let it hang. dealer likes to hit you for money.

It helps to remove the front wheel but that isn't required.

If I were to do it again, I'd remove the front wheel, remove the hoses from the radiator and oil cooler and remove the radiator and oil cooler leaving them in place on the shroud, basically removing everything as an assembly.

While you have that assembly on the bench its super easy to install radiator guards and worthwhile to refill the radiator with engine ice or the track friendly coolant of your choice.

Do get some pieces of cardboard and tape them to the inside of your radiator and oil cooler to keep them from getting dinged up. It not a hard process. Take pictures of EVERYTHING when you first take the fairings off.

I paid $2306.49 (which included shipping and no tax). According to your site, you're selling the same exhaust for $200 more and I would have to pay $256 in tax.

Motostorm has a US distribution center. Got my exhaust within a week of ordering.

that is not the price showing on the website link you sent , its 2282 euros , which is $2700

i cant help that your in Washington state and I would have to charge you tax

Yeah for some reason when you change the currency through the site, it doesn't use an exchange rate. It's more like a 1 for 1 difference from Euro to USD, which is broken.
