1. This bike is the only one of the three that remains in a private collection, while the other two are housed in The Ducati Museum in Bologna, Italy, and the Penrose Heritage Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado."
2.The bike for sale is the actual inspirational design prototype, used by Ducati’s design team in the design studio in Bologna, Italy for the production model Multistrada 1200 S Pikes Peak Edition released in 2011.
3. The bike features a front brake master cylinder/brake lever gifted by the Ducati MotoGP team from its actual race winning bike, symbolizing their support and good fortune for the Ducati Pikes Peak International Hillclimb Team.
4. Custom made Akrapovic Exhaust System: Specially designed for this bike, the Akrapovic titanium exhaust must remain with it for its lifetime, as per the agreement with Akrapovic. The custom designed pipe is the one that is on the bike currently and has a bespoke Pike Peak logo etched into the silencer.
5. The bike comes with original spare parts from its racing years, including Marchesini wheels, Termignoni Exhaust, extra Akrapovic exhaust and components, lightweight subframes, original Racing Livery: featuring the red, white, and black tri-color scheme of
the Spider Grips/Ducati race team, complete with Pikes Peak Race tech/ scrutineering decals attached to the livery and a set of pit bull stands.

Racing Highlights:

● 2010: Introduced as Bike #55, it competed with Alexander Smith at the PPIHC, earning praise for its performance. After the race, it was displayed at Ducati Island at the Indianapolis MotoGP and Laguna Seca MotoGP, representing Ducati's racing excellence.
● 2011: Nicknamed "Lawn Dart" after a crash during pre-race testing, this bike was rebuilt and raced to a 3rd-place finish by Alexander Smith at Pikes Peak. Despite its mishap, it became a fan favorite and a symbol of resilience. It continued to tour Ducati events, showcasing its storied past.
● 2012: Renumbered as #555, it was upgraded with Akrapovic Pikes Peak Edition exhausts, lightweight subframes, and OZ racing wheels. Ridden by Greg Tracy, it broke the 10-minute barrier at Pikes Peak with a time of 9:58, securing its place in history. Its teammate, Carlin Dunne, set a new course record of 9:52 on Bike #5, marking a monumental achievement for Ducati.
● 2013: Fully rebuilt with MS Production carbon fiber parts and Sicom carbon ceramic brake discs, it competed as #43 with Micky Dymond. Despite being a backup bike, "Lawn Dart" demonstrated incredible potential during race week. Micky Dymond posted impressive times and qualified first in his class. On race day, he completed the course in 12:30 despite two crashes, further cementing this bike's legacy.
