pictures can be deceiving, is it gloss or matte? Also will it fit standard pipes?

Just got one to fit my stock pipes last night. It was kind of a bear to do. Biggest issue was it hitting the loop and not wanting to go down further to line up with the screw holes- I had to cut some of the metal out so I will see how long the carbon last in that spot.
