Termi Slip-Ons

There is one issue with them. Ive sold a many of these Termis and the left exhaust can scrapes the ground just like the left exhaust can does with the Arrow slipons. Its all a matter of what you weigh. If you weigh more than what the spring rate is designed for. Then the left side exhaust can will scrape the ground. Arrow and Termi know this. But they arent about to change their tooling in order to raise the left side cans to a higher angle. They know that many Ducati owners will change their front fork springs. Bill from Calimoto TV made another video testing these Termis on his SFV4 and mentioned they scrape. He bought a few things from me but not this exhaust. There is a company which I cant mention at this time because they are still testing their slipons for the V4 and SFV4. However the way they designed their exhaust cans, they wont scrape the ground on the left side. This company has a full titanium exhaust system for a V4 and the left exhaust can never scraped the ground no matter how low the bike leaned or what the weight of the rider was. The reason being the exhaust cans are raised at a higher angle. They will have a full titanium slipon system for the V4 and SFV4 and maybe a titanium/steel slipon system like Arrow has. I believe their prices will be lower than Arrows system. The only other parts needed to buy if the slipon is for a V4 are Ducati lower fairings that are needed if the Akra is bought. But those lower fairings would be discounted.

This new slipon system should be ready to go on sale by mid November.

I would like to make a correction to my post above. After emailing the exhaust company (Yes in the middle of the night and they replied. So obviously they are not located in the US) I received a reply that they will not be making a titanium/stainless steel slipon exhaust system like Arrow. They will only be manufacturing a full titanium slipon exhaust system. However it will retail lower than the Arrow full titanium slipon system which starts out at $2713.00 but discounted online to $2441.70 plus tax depending where you buy it from. Meaning most likely the starting retail cost will be less than $2441.70.

^ Thanks for the information. I plan on ordering an exhaust in the next week and will probably get either the Zard or Termi Slip-ons. If I go with the Zard I am going to powdercoat or Ceracoat the mufflers. I guess another option is to get a local welder to cut and re-angle the right side since I am over 200 lbs. and probably will contact the pavement.

I sent you a PM

Good information cycler, thank you! Calimoto has done some nice vids on his SF. Notably, he had to switch out the Arrow b/c it kept destroying his right boot due to heat. I really like the Arrow's look. Curious if anyone has experienced similar.

I'm interested in this other exhaust you mentioned; if you'd care to PM me to find out more...

When will you be allowed to disclose the name of the company?
I finally received pics of the prototype. It looks really good. Although the left side exhaust can is horizontal like the Arrow and Termi. The left side exhaust can sits up as high as the stock oem exhaust. I was asked not to show anyone the pics because he doesnt want anyone to see yet and the ones going into production will look way better. There will also be a full system for the SFV4. The full SFV4 full system will look different from the SFV4 and V4 slipons. However the slipons and full system will be priced very competitively. They will all be full titanium with no steel. I will send an email asking whether I can say the name of the company. At this point since they are only set to go into production 2nd week of December he wanted the name to be kept under wraps. Maybe the company will let me reveal the name in the next few days.

I am liking the Termi's for sure.

^ The Michelin's transformed the bike on the street. I am really glad I went with them for city and country riding. To be honest the first consideration was the price of the Pirelli's back this summer. The fuckers wanted close to $500 for a set of Supercorsa 3's!

I had tried a few different brands on my 848 and 1199s so I wasn't too nervous about tire quality or feedback as the Dunlop Q4s are or were awesome on the 1199.

My brother actually put the Michelin Power 5's on his 2013 Busa, and I picked up a set of Power GP's for less than $350 from Sportbike Track Gear.

I also had watched a Dave Moss vid about the difference in the triangulated profile of the Pirelli/ Dunlop tires and figured a more rounded profile tire would help with the weird slow-speed "fall-in" of the front.

So, I lowered the forks about 4mm and raised the ride height about the same to make up for the smaller circumference of the Michelin rear tire.

They are a great tire for the street. Question: Would I switch back to Pirelli's or Dunlops for a track day? Yes. I'd love to have the profile of those tires on track as I am a rider who "Squares off corners" or a "point and shoot" style, as opposed to someone with grace and style and lot's of smooth speed.

One other thing to note, I feel and have noticed that the Michelin's appear to be lighter than their competitors. I didn't weigh the tires, but they feel markedly lighter than the Pirelli tires. Dave Moss said something about a more accurate molding process?

Hi, can you tell us the name of the company yet?

Bit worried with the clearance of the Termi's after watching Cali Moto's video. Also does anyone know how the 94db with DB killers installed is measured? Distance, Revs etc concerned about getting through scrutineering.

Keep in mind that his experience is not everyone's. You have no clue what his shock/spring rates are, what is his tire profile, his personal weight, etc.. so he may report scraping with reduced frame height and him being over 220lbs, but you may not.

Just get them and be happy like I did.
