Over the winther I'll be rebuilding my S ABS Pani into a race bike. I'm on a limited budget, so for exhaust I'm thinking a Termi slip to begin with.

If I fit a Termi slip, can I later upgrade to Termi full by just installing the downpipes from the full system? In other words, are the slip muffler and the full muffler identical?

If the budget is limited, you may want to consider concentrating your efforts elsewhere. I only ride on the track and I'm not seeing where the exhaust is given one rider an edge over another"¦when it comes to the Pani. Rearsets, tires, bodywork, brakes is money well spent. Just my two cents

+1

performance lies in being comfortable on the bike and increasing your feeling of/on the bike.

power is overrated. braking is underrated

;)

The brakes are fantastic already. What will make them better?
Ground clearance is great already. I'm not upgrading the rearsets until needed. I did swap pegs because the stock ones are slippery.
Tires for sure.
Bodywork off course. You will need a belly pan which from everything I found requires replacement of the stock exhaust. You should be able to use termi slip ons and a belly pan.
I am converting mine into a race bike also.

Yes you can.

I know a top level racer down hrere who has gone back to the standard headers on his race bike, as he said he likes it better than the termi full system headers. So, you won't lose out by much, if at all.

Do you tell yourself that when you are being walked by an S1000rr???

Thanks. That way I can go from stock to slip to full Termi exhaust.

The bike will off course be appropiately fitted with race parts:
Pro Fiber race fairing.
Custom made fairing holder.
Rear set.
Cordona strain guage quickshifter.
Other bits and pieces.

Fork and damper will be serviced and upgraded, and Tuneboy will find power in the middle range ;-)

I ride Dunlop KR106/KR108 UK made tyres. Incredible grip.

After that it will be pimped :)
