Any inputs on the favorite tune for Hyper 950's? Looking at all of them at the moment. I have the T-800 on the wife's V2 as well as my 2020 V4. Yes, understand that many would offer better power etc.

Thanks

In the Ducati tuning sphere I consider Duessen Engines to be the top dog. My experience before and after the sale has been top draw. For example, I was on Reddit and came across a post in which another claimed DE had a cruise control option for the V4. Something I’d be very interested in. I shot Daniel a message on WhatsApp, no super secret private number or anything, and within 24 hours had a response. Granted it was that they did not have a cruise option for the V4, but still. On atleast one other ocassion I reached out and got a similar prompt reply. This is two years after buying their tune.

I’m sure you can get a Termi tune for a bit cheaper, maybe. You aren’t chasing that last 5% the way the sportbike crowd is. But, just from a support standpoint I’d recommend DE.

Thanks very much! I got a note from Duessen this morning and apparently they have a rep in Arizona so I can get the flash-loader or hardware needed for the tune.

Not looking to set any world records on the Hyper just wanted a tuning option that I potentially could use on the V4 later on as well. Again, thanks for the input. I'll have to post up my updates for this platform as I get them completed.

I went though the Arizona guy too. He’ll send you the device and you download your existing tune and email it in. DE will modify it and send it back. Just remember to flash the original map back onto the bike if you take it to the dealer for anything.

Will do. I had the Rapid Bike Evo for my 1199S and really enjoyed the ease of tuning and updating maps with that device. Though it was a major pain to install with so little room on the Ducati platforms. I have also been using a similar interface with my Audi's and the portal with IE and 034 Motorsports. Makes tuning and updating a breeze.

I just hope the cost isn't too crazy I saw the Rexxer was around $600 https://www.rexxer.eu/en/rexxer-evo-user.html?isorc=9108

I was ever so slightly above that price with shipping when I got the DE tune back in 2022.

I had one of the Rapid Bike piggy back units on my 1199 as well. Like you said, it was hard to fit given the tight packaging of the 1199 and I kept getting odd problems, like the bike would randomly shut off for a second or so then come back to life. That was a deal breaker. I just chalked it up to the added complexity of a piggy back system.

I then went to the Tuneboy option with the added cruise control. I liked that as it was merely software to modify the map in the ECU. No added hardware other than the wide band O2 sensors. The only issue I had is that outside of a dyno run it’s nearly impossible to cover the entire map with enough data so it autocorrects every point.

Once I started doing track days I choose to be a rider rather than a tuner and leave that to professionals. I’d rather work on line selection and trail braking than air/fuel ratios.
