Throttle response

decided to commute in today as it was a late start so not much traffic. Once the bike (1299s) is warmed up I just can't gage the throttle sometimes I turn the throttle and nothing then I turn it a little more and it just roars in to life and when coasting if I blip the throttle no response least not the same as a normal cable throttle.

Is this resolved by the magic spacers? I've ordered some but confused how the make a difference when throttle is already open and cruising
Thanks

I agree that the electronic throttles suck but changing the modes could help.
I run sport mode with all setting pretty much at 2. Seemed to help throttle control a bit.

There are different throttle maps in the different modes. Might have something to do with it. I never use lowest setting, even changed wet mode to medium engine mode..

The spacers are good but they didn't solve the problem for me. i was told a new Ducati map was on the way, no idea when. Should be a straightforward re map, was never a problem on the 1199.

check the microswitch that your clutch lever activates, that switch changes throttle response between being in neutral and being in gear.

If your speaking in regards of the "Panigale spacers" I'm going to tell you full honesty it ....... rocks! I actually I've about 20mi away from the guy that owns the company and I rolled over and we talked awhile and he installed it for me and I noticed an INSTANT response in the throttle after. I can't explain the science behind it while it's open but it is night and day difference for me.

Cool, I'm looking forward to trying them out

The spacers just take out the physical slack in the throttle assembly. Nothing to do with how the throttle assembly controls the engine.

BTW I also have the throttle spacer kit fitted for the past 6 months. I am not saying what you experience is not correct but I do not think this is what the OP is talking about.

Its mapping that dictates how the throttle behaves. And the micro switch on the clutch lever is linked to that mapping. If it is not working correctly your initial takeoff will be difficult.

The spacers have nothing to do with how the throttle controls the engine, but have everything to do with how your brain controls the hand and perceives the acceleration sensation.
