I’m looking to move to Pirelli Rossi 3 tires. However my rear still has loads of wear left. Probably a dumb question but would I have issues if I installed the Rosso 3 front but kept the Diablo Supercorsa rear? Thanks

Bro dont got with Rosso 3 especially on a super bike... you want some mileage get Rosso corsa 2 made with same carcass as supercorsa so it will feel the same.. but dual compound so its harder middle and slick sticky edges.

That's fine to have supercorsa rear. But as pointed out just use Rosso Corsa 2, they are excellent tires with loads of grip from Supercorsas and yet long life.

put 2500 on my Rosso 3's guys. Once warmed up I didnt have any issues at all, all street/agressive riding, no use yet on track. Whats the issue with the Rosso 3'? Was just about to buy another set today...pls share some experiences.

It really depends on pace and how you corner/exit.

If you ride smooth and similar to a 600 then you will be ok with R3 or RC2.

If you trail brake with a late apex and then bring bike up quick then you'll need any suoercorsa and above.

The 1199 is ideally ridden like the latter when you have the room for it. Ridden like a 600 when defending your inside line.

My 1199 really transformed in the twisties when using the supercorsa TD. The Michelin power cup 2 is also great but gives more miles with some performance tradeoff.

Not a fan of the Corsa II. Got 7k miles out of the super Corsa rear on my 1098 and the same mileage out of the Corsa II on my 1299S. Have the Rosso II on now with a Corsa III front. Pirelli is impossible with whom to speak for information, however if you’re looking for track days the Corsa III would be your beat bet; aside from the Supercorsa. Mileage/distance will come with the Rosso II.

Good luck.

Corsa II on the rear and Corsa III on the front? I swore I’ve been told not to mix and match.

Rosso III on the rear and Corsa II on the front. Trying to get more longevity out of the rear.
Some will actually mix a harder rear with a softer front.
