front axles?

rear hubs? rear brake caliper holders? kickstand?

rule of thumb will be that we have to get at least 10 peeps together, bolts are rather easy, functional parts will be a little more tricky...

There are aluminum front axles available which would be lighter.

But a rear axle/hub would be tits! Yes on the rear caliper holder too!

Light weight horn too! :D Seriously though, that thing is heavy.

- Go for aluminium front axle plus spacers, but Ti nut (heavier but more practical)
- Rear axle in Ti would be tits :) Hub and rear caliper holders could only be made really lighter using CF
- Horn: yeah, this thing is a monster!!! If somebody knows something lighter and still legal in Europe, I'll buy a dozend of them :)

I would suggest some bolts that are not available on the market. Easy to produce and I guess some of the guys that have this Ti illness would jump in.

There are 14 pieces of a M6 studs on the panigale, hex in the middle, on both ends M6.
The bolt that goes into the lower part of the airbox intake connecting the dash/lamp holder (M6, 70 long but with a cyclindrical head same like the rear shock pinch bolt)
Then there are some bolts connected to the engine with M6 outer and on the other side M5 inner threads.
Also I could never find the two banjo bolts attached to the engine in Ti: M10x1.0, single, but with a 14mm long thread
the two type of shoulder bolts on the bottom of the side fairings. Actually they are available on the market, but way too pricey and hard to find.
.....

Im about to just remove my horn so i dont accidentally hit it anymore. So many other things could be used with that button.

Ok, thanks for the creativity!

I will go ahead and make a list, assess the effort and come back with some evaluation results for what could work or not.

I understand that a front axle out of aluminum might be lighter, but not as tits :D
I have seen the rear eccentric hub as unobtainium piece, that might be something...

Hi Phil-

I know I'm pretty much a relic here now, but figured Id offer anyway.

Should you, or anyone else, be interested in anything from Proti I am still VERY well connected either thru our mutual pals out in Vegas - or the Man Himself?

Not trying to to blow myself with this :)eek:) , but I heavily responsible for bringing Sherwood Wang (Proti VP of Operations) into the US marketplace after thousands of calls and Customs negotiations. Now his / their gear is sold EVERYWHERE, including Amazon as well. However, I believe you may be seeking something much different and higher rated since this is a "Group Buy" and those are normally well above anything readily available on the open market. Therefore, I am merely offering my hand should anyone wish.
Again, I may be "Forgotten" but not "Gone" yet my Old Friend!

Wishing you, "The SV" all the very best in the coming WERA year Phil. I truly believe you will be standing atop the box MANY times this year brother! Stay safe and keep it horizontal my man!

Depiction of "Proti" as seen from our friends in Vegas - where you should have really patented the term "Oil-Quarium" Phil !

Ps. I am still tracking down all those Ti spare parts, bolts, Axle nuts, etc to literally "Give Away" to those who know me well enough to have my email.

Thanks Gunny!

what i'm trying here is to open an alternative source for parts that have not been made or not that way with a certain side benefit.

i am sure pricing will most likely not be competitive if i do something "standard".

also, i wouldn't want to give these ideas away to a company, since you know, how companies run, overheads, profits, etc. ...

but thanks for the contact, i will get back with you if something bigger comes up!

and in regards of the SV - yeah, i am excited for the racing season, first year as expert... no chance on the podium, except in the rain maybe :D

got me a set of 1098 fairings, the original ones from you have had a rough life under me ;)

Cheers brother!

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Have they never seen an F1 car smack the titanium skid plate? That .... throws some serious sparks. Just what I want if I go down on the track/street with a tank full of gas.

I thought the F1 skip plates are made from Tungsten because of it's high density to lower down car's center of gravity. I know I guy who milled these plates in the past. Horrible job.
