A friend of mine was headed out to test out his new tune on his zx10 @ the 1/4 mile strip and I decided to tag along.
Took the GoPro along
Im happy with the time I did but I think I can do better with more practice.
I just did it for fun & knowing that this bikes not designed for 1/4 mile but the road course.

Drag racing a bike like the Panigale takes a lot of talent and practice. I consider your times to be fantastic for anyone who has not done a lot of it on fast bikes.

60 ft is not bad!

Haven't done 1/4 ml yet, just 1/8 with 6.9s @110mph

Hey nice vid, are you using the stem mount from Ram? It's wicked stable. I figured the V twin would vibrate a lot but your video were butter smooth.

I just put the sticky mount on the circle of the triple clamp. Than used the short curved back arm to bolt on the gopro.

Took my base out with full termi's last weekend also, not the lightest and only raced cars before getting the bike. Ended up with 10.8 @ 138mph with a 2 sec 60ft. If only i could 60ft the bike like the car into the 1.6's it would be one hell of a ride. Lost interest as there were no corners

If you could get a 1.6 60' you'd be running 10 flat. It would be a hell of a ride.

I took mine to the track back in the spring and my best run was 10.5 @ 147mph. Can't even get to full throttle till half track. This iwas before I tuned the the bike with the Tuneboy software and picked up 8 more hp. I plan on going to the track again soon to see if there is any difference.

147 is really strong. I don't think I have seen a magazine test that fast. Cool weather???

Weather was decent, maybe 80 degrees and not real humid. The mph is about on par with the hp the bike was making at the time. Don't by into the magazine B.S. they tend to sell out to the highest bidder, for them its all about money. When I go back in a few weeks I am hoping to get to 149~150 mph and would really like to get better at launches.

The key for me is the launch and keeping the front wheel down in 1st and second. I ran a 10.28 @ 140 mph a while back. At the time I ran my psi too low and had a bad secondary injector with a suit that was WAY over my size so it was like a parachute after 80 mph or so. I know the Panigale is capable of more, so once I get my Termis finished putting on and a suit that fits I'll try to run it again. (not a fan of reading magazines) but I believe cycleworld said it ran a 9.9 I would be happy with a 10.0 region with a stock wheelbase. I am just an amateur drag racer though, I enjoy drag racing, it really helps out on the street by showing you what the bike does in every gear. Good times though! You launched well and kept the wheel down. I used it in sport mode at maybe half throttle in 1st and 2nd, then after 2nd I ran it wide open. I find sport mode to be easier to keep the front wheel down of course.
